The Cooking in the Community Practicum Welcomes YOU!

Hello, we are a group of 8th graders from the Community School of Davidson. Every Friday for the next 8 weeks we will be planning, designing and creating an edible garden for students in grades K-8 to enjoy. We have teamed up with master gardeners and Chef Bradley to create the connection from farm to plate! Bon Appetit!

  1. Hello Cooking in the Community Practicum. This is your fellow particumee Zachary Andrew McAfee. In this video I had learned the dangers of hot things as you can see in the first three seconds of our video. We had spinach dipped in a tiny bit of oil, garlic, pepper and salt. The person who showed us how to cook the Spinach was Chef Bradley. He is one of the Chefs at Galloway Hooker. He is a really good cook. I normally don't like Spinach, but he made it really good and impossible not to eat. Overall I believe I am a really good food taster because I loved the Spinach that Chef Bradley cooked. This is my favorite Practicum so far. Tommorow, we are going to make our own lunch from fresh ingredients from our neighborhood Harris Teeter across the street. It will be so fun to taste so many new foods which are probably going to be healthy and delicious
